I had a leaky waste port on my Hayward multiport valve, this video follows my process in evaluating the issue and replacing the faulty spider gasket that was the cause of the leak. This same gasket, when faulty, can cause filter sand to enter the pool. Hopefully if you have the same issue, you can follow this process and replace your gasket too.
