The HMNZS Manawanui crew and passengers were successfully rescued with the assistance of the Rescue Coordination Centre and other vessels following the ship running aground during a hydrographic survey off the southern coast of Upolu, Samoa. Despite challenging conditions, all 75 individuals were safely evacuated into lifeboats and transferred to responding vessels.
