This song’s pretty raw and real and heartbreaking. “You think you got a broken heart, break it to your kids”. When a few of my close friends went through divorces the last couple years, it was the first time I’d ever been up close and personal with the grief and complexity of divorce. I imagine so many people in small towns across America who have to live and breathe their biggest heartbreak over and over every day - running into your ex’s Mom in the grocery store, having to hold your head high
