Oaks Park wants to let its light shine with a new thrill ride offering a sweeping view at the top of the Willamette River on one side and the city center’s only wildlife refuge on the other. The so-called drop tower would shoot straight up, taller than both the amusement park’s timeless Ferris wheel and its more recent pink-and-blue “Adrenaline Peak” rollercoaster.
