Many fitness companies have jacked up equipment prices during the pandemic. Fortunately, there are still inexpensive options for home workouts. One example are these furniture sliders. I purchased this $10 pair at a local hardware store over 10 years ago. They're excellent for home use and when traveling. If you want them to slide faster, add a few drops of Rain-x every so often. Effective training doesn't need to break the bank. You can work hard with almost anything, including nothing. | Ross

It's probably been 30 years since I first did a deck of cards workout but they're still useful as a finisher or mini-workout. For this variation, clubs and spades (black) are pushups, hearts and diamonds (red) are squats. Number of reps equals the number on the card. Face cards are ten. Aces are 11. Add joker cards if you'd like where the joker equals a set number of another exercise (ex. 10 pull-ups). There's endless variations and you'll always get a decent workout in without eating up too muc

Consistency isn't flashy, but it works. Too many people jump from one idea to the next, chasing fads created by those trying to make a quick buck who then disappear after a few years. Don't fall for the bullsh*t. You don't need anything fancy to get in shape. I still do many of the same things I was doing 20 years ago. Hard work with the basics will never go out of style. | Ross Enamait

Static holds can be added to almost any bodyweight exercise to increase difficulty without supplemental equipment (ex. weighted vest). Common examples include pushups, pull-ups, and squats, but rollouts are no exception. Hold the outstretched position for 3 to 5 seconds and the difficulty increases dramatically. Happy rolling! | Ross Enamait

During the winter, I always get questions about indoor conditioning options for when the roads are icy and running isn't feasible. Here's ten quick ideas from past videos (by no means a definitive list). 1. Jump rope intervals 2. Burn machine intervals 3. Sledgehammer intervals 4. Band sprints 5. High rep swings 6. Mountain climbers 7. Bike intervals 8. High rep stand-up sit-ups 9. Speed bag while skipping 10. Fast paced or high rep calisthenics Stay safe and stay strong! | Ross Enamait

No matter what happens in the world, it’s always good to be healthy and strong. And no matter where you are or what you have, you can always do something (ex. pushups, squats, lunges, etc.). Stay safe and stay strong. | Ross Enamait

With many gyms still closed, furniture sliders are excellent for home workouts. They're easy to find online or at most hardware stores. I recommend size 9-1/2 x 5-3/4 inches. I've had the same inexpensive pair for over 10 years. I use them on a small strip carpet. And while socks or towels can be used on hardwoods floors, they don't work as well for all of the exercises and you probably won't find a $10 pair that lasts for 10 years. Lasetly, If you want the sliders to move faster, add a few drop

I first demonstrated this T-handle almost 15 years ago and continue to receive questions about it. With that in mind, here is a simplified tutorial. To build the T-handle, I used 3/4-inch pipe (inner diameter), which is the size of a 1-inch dumbbell handle. Therefore, I am using standard 1-inch iron plates when performing swings with the tool. The complete part list is below. * 12-inch pipe nipple * Floor flange * Tee Fitting * Two 3 1/2-inch pipe nipples * Standard 1-inch dumbbell collar If you

“There’s not a muscle group that you use in the ring that jumping rope doesn’t work; that’s why it’s such an important part of the fighter’s workout. Turning the rope and keeping it turning works your hands, wrists, forearms, and shoulders – which you use for punching. Getting up over it works every part of your legs, from your calves to your thighs – which you use to move. And the constant movement works your heart and lungs, which, of course, run everything else.” – Joe Frazier #boxing #mikety
