Apple iPhone supplier Foxconn has reportedly told its various recruitment partners to cease putting conditions about marital status and other issues in job ads for the company.

Months after Foxconn has now directed its recruiting agents to align their advertisements without specifications of gender and such in India

Foxconn employs sevral workers at its Tamil Nadu plant, many of whom are women. It outsources recruitment to third-party agencies responsible for scouting and screening before final interviews

Apple iPhone maker Foxconn reportedly ordered its Indian hiring vendors to remove certain job criteria such as age, gender, and marital status from the advertisement. The company did not comment on whether or not it had ended restrictions on employment norms.

Foxconn, which employs thousands of women at the iPhone factory at Sriperumbudur, near Chennai, has outsourced recruitment of assembly-line workers to third-party vendors.
