July 5 (UPI) -- Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher reunited their band Oasis in Cardiff, Wales, Friday night. The Gallaghers ended their 16-year hiatus, performing songs like "Hello," "Acquiesce," "Some Might Say," "Morning Glory" and "Wonderwall," in front of 75,000 fans at the Cardiff Principality Stadium, according to TMZ.

The sweepstakes for their opening song proper was won by anyone who plumped for “Hello,” but “Acquiesce,” the song that followed after, was the song that felt like a proper return. With Noel and Liam sharing main vocals it was the moment that all of this became real, the pair of them together again, doing what they do best. Spine-tingling stuff.

Oasis ended a 16-year hiatus with a punchy, powerful trip through one of Britpop's greatest songbooks, kicking off a reunion tour in Cardiff, Wales to a crowd ecstatic for the band's 1990s hits.
