Spain forward Lucía García has told ESPN she is blown away by teammate Alexia Putellas every time she trains with her.

Alexia Putellas is reveling in her phenomenal start to Women's Euro 2025 as her dazzling performances in Spain's title bid reminded fans why she is a two-time Ballon d'Or winner.

That proved to be premature, as Putellas returned to the pitch in April 2023 and was back in the Spain squad for that summer’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. She played seven times and provided an assist, but had not built up enough rhythm to show her best form.
