In a league that has embraced the 3-point shot more each passing season, the Detroit Pistons are winning games while being anemic to it.
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Jalen Duran scored 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, Daniss Jenkins added 17 points and the Detroit Pistons never trailed while cruising to their fourth straight victory, 112-104 over the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night.
The Detroit Pistons came close, but just couldn't earn a comeback victory in a Friday-night loss on their home court.
Duren changed his body, getting leaner in the offseason to help with his mobility and flexibility. Not only is he smarter when opponents pull him away from the paint, but he improved manning centers who can pop to the 3-point arc; it’s also not nearly as easy to drive by him.
Duncan Robinson scored 19 points, Jalen Duren had 16 points and 18 rebounds and the Detroit Pistons rallied to beat the Phoenix Suns 108-105 on Thursday night.
