While the Big 12 proves to be one of the toughest conferences in college basketball, it's still an entertaining slugfest for teams that find themselves at the bottom of the conference standings.
The 11th AP Top 25 poll of the 2025-26 college basketball season was released Monday, and for the first time, there is a unanimous No. 1 team. Arizona (18-0) received all 61 first-place votes this week after picking up wins over Arizona State and UCF and remained in the top spot for the sixth consecutive week.
As for conference representation, the SEC leads the way with 10 teams in the projected tourney lineup, with the Big 12 and Big Ten right behind them at nine schools each. The ACC has eight, and then after that the participation drops, with the Big East netting four while the West Coast Conference and Mountain West both sport a pair each.
The unbeaten Arizona Wildcats (16-0) take their No. 1 ranking into a rivalry game on Wednesday night when the Arizona State Sun Devils (10-6) come to the McKale Center off their first Big 12 Conference victory of the season.
