Erling Haaland has been left out of the Manchester City squad for the Premier League clash with Liverpool on Sunday after failing to recover from injury in time.

Mohamed Salah's 30th goal of the season in all competitions and a Dominik Szoboszlai strike sealed a victory that was much more comfortable than the scoreline suggests.

This trip to the Etihad was meant to be one of Arne Slot’s biggest tests in the remainder of the season but his side negotiated it with the minimum of fuss, closing out victory thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah (of course) and Dominik Szoboszlai to move 11 points clear at the top of the table.
