A woman and her dog were killed by separate hit-and-run drivers on July 11 near 51st Avenue and Elwood Street, police said.

PHOENIX — Phoenix police are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run crash that left a woman and her pet dog dead early Friday morning. The woman was struck near 51st Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road around 1 a.m. Officers found her with critical injuries, and first responders pronounced her dead on the scene.
